Partha Unnava

Partha Unnava was born and raised in Columbus, OH, and studied biomedical engineering at Georgia Tech. During his time in college, after breaking his ankle playing basketball, he decided to put his engineering skills to use and design a crutch that doesn’t hurt a user’s underarms. This product turned into BWHealth, a venture-backed company that Partha has been building for 5 years which not only has set a world record with the Better Walk crutches, but has gone on to release Lasso Gear, a sportswear line that mimics the benefits of medical taping that is utilized by hundreds of professional athletes and top physical therapists.
Partha has been recognized in Forbes 30 Under 30, Inc. magazine, and CNN, and was invited to the White House to demonstrate the Better Walk crutch to President Obama. In his free time, he spends his time listening to hip-hop and watching NBA basketball, and currently spearheads a scholarship program as part of the Unnava Family Foundation, a philanthropic effort he started to help young people gain perspective and make impact through entrepreneurship.
