Techstars Startup Week Columbus 2018

Every person counts when you're starting something from nothing. Many hats are worn and shared and passed, and communication is paramount. The people you have with you at the start help determine how strong of a foundation you have to build upon, and the people you pick along the way should reinforce and support your mission and vision. Sounds great, but it's easier said than done. I've learned a lot about people as I've grown the Columbus Book Project--the startup world isn't made for everyone. How do you find good people? What happens if someone you've brought on isn't working out? When do you promote and when do you cut someone loose? Time is everything as a startup, and the right people will help you make the most of it.
